Tuition & Affordability

We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to making a global, world-class Montessori education accessible to Mission-aligned families.

CMS is among the most affordable ISACS accredited schools in the St. Louis region. We are also the most diverse private school in St. Louis County, welcoming families and staff from over 30 countries, with over 20 languages represented.

We have tripled the amount of scholarship awards over the past 10 years. To sustain and expand this program, we welcome philanthropic partners who share our goal of creating peace through empowering each child in our culturally diverse environment to realize their unique potential.

CMS Commitment

Chesterfield Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs and any school-administered programs.

Scholarship Awards

Our internal tuition scholarship awards are based on a family’s demonstrated financial need, number of children enrolled at CMS, commitment to the school, and the availability of funding.

An independent firm, FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) by Independent School Management, evaluates scholarship applications. A Scholarship Committee from our Board of Trustees uses information from FAST to make award recommendations.

Families wishing to apply for scholarships must do so annually by submitting materials in the Spring. Applications are open during the month of February. You can access the FAST application here.

To learn more about the scholarship program, please contact the school.

To be considered for the scholarship students must have visited, applied and been admitted to the school.

MoScholars Program

The MOScholars program provides options for eligible families, allowing them to seek alternative educational services at approved, non-profit Education Assistance Organizations (EAOs). It was established by the Missouri General Assembly in 2021 to provide educational opportunities and resources to Missouri students and families.

As an approved EAO school, Chesterfield Montessori School uses the contributions to award scholarships to eligible Missouri students.

Eligibility for MoScholars

A qualified student must meet requirements established by Missouri Revised Statutes 166.700(9). We recommend reviewing the MOScholars website for eligibility criteria, eligible expenses and other MOScholars program criteria.

Next, parents interested in applying for MOScholars with CMS should first reach out to us and begin the admissions process. Families can then begin the MoScholars application process here

Please note that to be considered for the MoScholars Program with Chesterfield Montessori School, students must have visited, applied and been admitted to the school.

There is no better school than CMS for my child. From the tour, all school members were/are very friendly and willing to assist with any questions. They value and approach each child individually. The confidence of my child has increased since the start of school. He is very happy at his school.

The main reason why I decided to go with CMS, is that teachers, staff, and administration are providing all resources for students to feel seen, confident, and motivated. The teachers are very well trained and are approaching each child with professionalism as well as care.

Every morning, when I drop my child off, I always admire how positive and attentive the teachers are. I leave with the confidence that my child will have a great time.
